Speaking & MC
Keynotes, panels and full-day hosting for conferences, community gatherings, award nights and brand events. I keep things warm, on time and easy for everyone else on stage.
Speaking & MC
I host events, give talks and produce shows. If you need someone who can hold a room and keep the day on track, that's me.
About me
I'm a speaker, MC and event producer based in Melbourne. I was born in Zimbabwe, I came up through fashion, and I've spent the last ten years putting other people on stage.
I started FreekÀ Runway because Melbourne had a lot of talented designers, dancers and artists with nowhere to show their work. Then I co-founded a podcast because the conversations in my group chat were too good to keep private. Hosting grew out of both. I like a room with energy in it, and I'm happy to be the person who brings it.
More about me
What I do
Every booking starts with a chat about your event, who's in the audience and what you want them to walk away feeling.
Keynotes, panels and full-day hosting for conferences, community gatherings, award nights and brand events. I keep things warm, on time and easy for everyone else on stage.
Speaking & MCWhat Left The Group Chat is the show I co-host with Tahj and Jill. Three Black women talking honestly about work, love, money, beauty and life in Australia.
Listen inI produce runway shows and cultural events, from the concept through to show calling on the night. FreekÀ Runway is where I learned how.
Work with me on an eventTalks
These come from my own life and from the podcast. I can shape any of them into a keynote, a fireside chat or a workshop.
Code-switching, fitting in and what it costs to make yourself smaller at work. What it actually takes to turn up as yourself, and what managers can do to help.
I spent years writing about fashion before I built a runway. This one is about representation, self-image and dressing for yourself.
Migrant life in Australia: home, ambition and the decisions nobody warns you about. Honest and, I promise, funny.
The invisible work of running a life, a family and a career at the same time. Useful for the women carrying it and the people around them.
How FreekÀ Runway went from an idea to a show at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, and what I learned about giving other people the spotlight.
From the acknowledgement of country to the last drinks. I keep the energy up, the program on time and every speaker looking good.
The podcast
I co-host What Left The Group Chat with Tahj and Jill. One of us is Zimbabwean, one is African American and one is Zambian, and we talk about the stuff we'd normally only say to each other: work, dating, money, beauty, motherhood and making a life in Australia.
FreekÀ Runway
FreekÀ is the multicultural runway show I founded in 2015. Designers, dancers, artists and musicians share the same stage, and most of them are showing for the first time.
